Travel Journals

Traveling provides a wealth of journaling material, whether it's the thoughts while you travel, or the imagery and momentos of your trip, or even daily recording of the events as you experience them. A travel journal can be a family heirloom whether you go 50 miles to a yearly vacation spot or half way around the world on a once in a lifetime trip. Remember to keep little souvieners in the form of paper mementos, tickets, photographs, postcards and other memorabilia to keep the trip in your mind's eye.

There are many commercially available journals for trips, and are handy to get you started. Yet, even a little notebook can get you writing and on your way to a rewarding documentary of your travels! Kids can pass the time spent in the car or plane by writing about the previous days adventures! Don't leave your journals at home when you go on vacation!

Here are some thoughts to get you started in Travel Journals.

A zip-lock bag is a great safe place to keep your journal notebook and all the paper memorabilia safe from travel mis-adventures such as water spills at Sea World or a leaking shampoo bottle in your luggage! Also, a bag is a great, lightweight storage place for those bits and pieces.

There are many famous travel journals to read and learn the style of these masters! Check out your local library or bookstore for tales of travel adventures!
