Collector's
Journals
It might be stamps or coins or pottery or
even Beanie Babies or toy trains. If you are a collector, then
you delight in the finding, learning and collecting of your
treasures. What better way to detail acquisition and information
of your collectibles then a journal? You probably already keep
a record of your treasures, but a detail journal of your collection
is a great insurance benefit as well! And a good place to keep
information about other collectors, their collections, perhaps
stores or shops that might offer information and other pieces.
Here are some
thoughts to get you started in Collector's Journals.
- Some collectibles have established commercial
record/journal books to help you out.
- Your computer can be an excellent way to
create a database of information about your collection. Be sure
to back up the information in a seperate location periodically,
thought. A printout or a CD with your information will be a
plus in case of loss or when you want to travel with the information.
